We’re excited to announce that the PTI will officially launch it’s services and will be exhibiting at the National Procurement Summit on Wednesday, January 31st 2018 at the stand A07, Citywest Hotel, Dublin. The 2 founders of the PTI, Ingrid De Doncker and Mike McGrath, will both deliver a presentation on the procurement main stage on why and how to professionalise the procurement profession.

Attendees can register for the summit as a guest for free at www.procurementevent.com so don’t delay

PRESENTATION: PROFESSIONALISING OUR PROFESSION

Ingrid De Doncker, CEO of iDDea and co-founder of PTI, will address the significant benefits that companies can gain from improving the value that procurement resources can deliver: By becoming part of the inaugural PTI community, your company starts the journey to delivering more benefits to the bottom line.  Ingrid will share her insights on:

  • Why is Procurement the future career of choice?
  • What is the data saying?
  • What are the gaps in competencies and how can we close them?
  • The collaborative approach to making our value stick
  • Building our community

PRESENTATION: PCP and PPI Opportunities for Ireland

Mike McGrath, CEO of Arvo and co-founder of PTI, will explain PCP and PPI and the launch of the first Irish Procurement Competency Centre (PTI) and their collaboration with 9 other European centres.

Pre-commercial procurement (PCP) is an approach within the public procurement of innovation, developed specifically for the procurement of R&D services rather than actual goods and services. Public procurement of innovation occurs when public authorities act as a launch customer for innovative goods or services. Arvo is one of the founding members of the Procurement Transformation Institute (PTI), which is Ireland’s Centre of Excellence to promote Pre-commercial procurement (PCP) and Public procurement of innovation (PPI) in Ireland. The PTI Competency Centre will provide an open space dedicated to the science and art of procurement impact, for current and future professionals in any organisation.
